Spring
Every Memorial Day, the Curwensville Dam opens for business. With 2100 acres of land and almost 800 acres of water, the Dam has something to offer everyone! Some of the things you can do at the Dam and surrounding Curwensville Area include:

The West Branch of the Susquehanna River runs through Curwensville. This river, along with its tributaries, provide some of the best fishing in Pennsylvania. Fish for trout, bass, catfish, and more!
Summer
Every summer, Irvin Park hosts Curwensville Days, a week-long celebration of our town. Come and enjoy the food, music, rides, games, and the fun!
Shortly after Curwensville Days ends, the Clearfield County Fair begins just down the road! Enjoy National and international music acts, tractor pulls, racing, games, and your pick of foods from dozens of vendors.
The Rails-to-Trails Organization has made a beautiful walking and biking path that stretches from Grampian, through Curwensville, and into Clearfield. The trail has many scenic moments and is maintained year-round.
Fall
Fall is beautiful in Central Pennsylvania, and Curwensville’s scenery is no exception. As the leaves turn colors and it gets a bit cooler, enjoy the great outdoors and its wonder. There’s the annual Halloween parade, hayrides at Bilger’s Rocks, and the start of hunting season. Then, there is the town’s annual Christmas Pageant “The Search for Peace” – 5 presentations at the Curwensville United Methodist Church, usually during the first weekend in December.
Winter
During the winter, Curwensville gets a bit chilly, providing opportunities for fun in its own way. Go ice fishing or sled riding. Antlered dear season is in full swing, bringing many hunters to the area seeking big game. Go out and see how beautiful Pennsylvania is in the winter. You’ll be surprised!
